Aromatherapy Global Online Research Archive (AGORA) Non-commercial website, many contributors, promotes serious and safe use of essential oils. Very good.

Aromaweb Inc. essential oil profiles, largely based on Julia Lawless' Encyclopedia and Tisserand and Balacs' safety manual.

ATC Aromatherapy Trades Council. "Represents the aromatherapy essential oil industry in the UK". Includes some information on the (numerous) pieces of proposed legislation which may affect essential oils.

Chrissie Wildwood is the author of many articles and books on aromatherapy and herbal medicine. Her passion is the conservation and sustainable cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants, many of which are threatened due to indiscriminate wild harvesting. Several key articles on the site on this.

Heilpflanzen-Katalog German (deutsch) site, title means Healing Plants Catalogue. Good site for pictures of plants including some used in aromatherapy. If you know the botanical name, then look in the "Pflanzennamen Latein" drop-down box and click on the plant name. If the resulting page has a picture, then clicking on the picture will show further pictures (if there are any for that plant). NEW 17.05.07
